Side effects of wearing a Copper bracelet:
It is true that wearing a copper bracelet can discolor the skin as the blue-green copper deposits
there. However this discoloration can be washed away with soap and water over the course of the day and there is no evidence
that it harms the skin.
Otherwise there are generally no side effects ( except desired positive ones) in the wearing
of a copper bracelet.
Taking into account the "Placebo Effect" you will still have a beautiful piece of jewelry
inexpensively.
" Copper compounds are more effective and less toxic than many drugs being used to treat arthritis"
Dr. John Sorenson, Univ. of Arkansas.
" Think of a copper bracelet as a time release source of copper" Dr. Raymond Walker, Univ.
of New Castle, Australia.
Cleaning Copper
To clean copper and remove tarnish pour about 1 inch of white vinegar in to a container, add 1 tablespoon
of salt and stir. Place the bracelet in the solution for 5 - 25 minutes (depending on the degree of tarnish) remove, rinse
and dry.
Cleaning Jewellers Brass
Using the same formula for cleaning copper, substitute clear ammonia
for the vinegar and repeat the process.
